Can I remove the lift retrofit kit and return the tractor to its original state?
Yes. When installing the LFT20 and LFT54, only the end of the existing Lift-O-Matik cable outside the tractor is detached; the original connection on the tractor side is never opened. Removing the kit and putting the cable end back where it was returns the system to fully manual operation. Since the hydraulic circuit is not entered, no oil draining, bleeding or valve adjustment is needed.
The removal order is the reverse of the installation:
- Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
- Separate the supply and control signal wires and remove the fuse holder.
- Detach the cable end from the kit's cable entry socket and fit it back to its original connection point.
- Remove the main unit and collect up the wire clamps.
- Reconnect the battery and operate the mechanism by hand to verify that the fast lift works normally.
The only permanent trace left behind is the bolt holes you drilled to fix the enclosure; for that reason, prefer existing holes or a clamped connection during installation where possible.
The ELF-812 does not enter the hydraulic circuit either: the linear motor and mounting hardware are removed and the control lever is released, and the control module and joystick are taken out of the cab. In both cases the tractor's original hydraulic capacity, relief valve setting and drop rate (response) lever function remain unchanged.
