Does fitting a lift kit count as a modification, does it affect vehicle inspection?

In Türkiye the permitted types of modification are listed in Annex IV of the AITM Regulation; operations such as chassis, brakes, steering, cab and the addition of equipment require a project approved by an authorised engineer. No clear provision has been found as to whether an electronic kit fitted onto the control lever falls within that scope; consult the inspection station or an authorised engineer.

The part of the legislation that is clear is this: the modification of a vehicle presented for inspection after modification must have been designed and approved by an authorised engineer, and the vehicle must have been modified according to that approved project. You come to the inspection with the approved modification project and the relevant calculations. On tractors, the addition of equipment such as a loader, front loader or trencher, and the fitting of a type-approved cab, are assessed within this scope.

Let us also state the unclear part plainly: no binding provision has been identified as to how an electronic control kit that attaches to the cable of the existing control lever, does not enter the hydraulic circuit and does not change the chassis, brakes, steering, lighting or vehicle dimensions is treated in that list. For that reason we cannot say "it will pass inspection without any problem".
