How is the linear motor on the ELF-812 connected to the hydraulic lever?
The ELF-812's linear rack motor is fixed onto the tractor's hydraulic control lever with the mounting hardware and moves the lever back and forth. The control module is placed in the cab, and the joystick and fender switches are connected to the module. After installation, automatic system calibration is run; then the position or sensitivity mode is selected and the system is put into use.
What is decisive in the connection is geometry. The axis of movement of the linear motor must be positioned to suit the arc of movement of the lever. A motor fixed at the wrong angle either cannot take the lever to full stroke or applies lateral force, stressing both the lever and the motor.
Recommended sequence:
- Mark the lever's range of movement by hand: the full-lower and full-raise points.
- Attach the motor body to a fixed point with the mounting hardware, with the rack end coming to the lever. Verify by hand that the lever reaches these two end points with the motor fully extended and fully retracted.

Critical rule: do not make a stroke setting that takes the lever beyond the transport position into the continuous pumping region; the relief valve opens continuously and the hydraulic oil heats up.
