Can I install the levelling system myself, and what support is provided?

A wiring diagram and a user manual come in the kit, and installation and commissioning support is provided by phone. It is possible to do the electrical side according to the manual; however, mounting the jacks to the chassis is a structural job and you need to consult your caravan manufacturer or an authorised project engineer about the mounting point and reinforcement if required.

Think of the installation as two separate jobs.

1. Mechanical installation (structural): attaching the 4 jacks to the chassis. Each jack has a load capacity of 2000 kg and transfers this load to the chassis at a single point. Choosing the mounting point, drilling holes and adding reinforcement if required call for a structural decision. At this stage, consult your caravan manufacturer or an authorised project engineer.

2. Electrical work and commissioning: connecting the GRV485 control unit to the battery and to the 4 jacks, and fixing the ASX103 to a rigid surface with its axes aligned. The wiring diagram and user manual in the kit describe these steps.

Support provided:

At first commissioning, position the caravan on ground as flat as possible and perform Tare, then inspect each jack one by one in manual mode. During and after the test, do not lift all wheels off the ground, and use the handbrake and chocks.
