Return Conditions
The rules determining the condition in which a product to be returned must be sent back. The general expectation is that the product is sent in resaleable condition together with its original packaging, accessories and documents; the details are in the return text on your order page.
There are two different frameworks in returns and they must not be confused. The first is the right of withdrawal: the product is fine, the consumer withdraws from the contract without giving a reason. The second is defective performance: the product does not have the expected quality and the consumer's optional rights come into play.
- The original box, internal filling and protective packaging must be preserved.
- The cable, connectors, mounting accessories and documents must be sent complete.
- The product must not have been used beyond being tried out.
- The invoice and, if any, the warranty certificate must be added to the shipment.
The ordinary trials the consumer makes to understand the nature and operation of the goods do not remove the right; however, if this limit is exceeded, liability for loss of value may arise. In industrial products, a unit whose mounting holes have been drilled, whose cable has been cut or which has been permanently wired is not considered resaleable. For this reason, on a product you might return, do the electrical trial on the bench before moving to permanent installation.
