Delivery Address Change
Updating the shipping address recorded on the order. It can be done by written request before the shipment is handed to the carrier; after shipping, the change no longer depends on the store but on the carrier company's own procedure and permission.
The address is the data transferred to the carrier on the order record. Once the label is printed and the shipment has entered the system, changing the data on the store side does not change the outcome; the package is routed according to the printed label anyway.
- Before shipping: send a written request with the order number.
- After shipping: you must apply to the carrier with the tracking number, and an extra charge may arise.
- A change of province is not accepted by most carriers, or requires the shipment to be returned and sent out again.
Incomplete address information is the most common cause of delivery delay. In industrial zones the parcel and block number, and at businesses the name of the person who can accept delivery at the door, are important; add these to the address line. If the invoice address differs from the delivery address, enter them separately, because the invoice works on corporate details and the shipment on physical accessibility. For the procedure of change requests, the terms on your order page apply.
