What does cable pull distance (50 mm / 60 mm) mean?

The pull distance shows how much the kit shortens the cable in a single command: 60 mm for the LFT20, 50 mm for the LFT54. This distance is set to move the Lift-O-Matic lever through the angle that takes it to the transport position. During installation the cable length must be adjusted so that the lever moves within this range and does not enter the continuous pumping zone.

The kit pulls the cable linearly; the lever converts that pull into an angular movement. So 60 mm or 50 mm does not directly mean "how many degrees"; the corresponding angle changes with the joint geometry of the lever.

The practical meaning of these values:

During installation the end of the existing Lift-O-Matic cable outside the tractor is detached and connected to the kit's cable entry socket; the original connection on the tractor side is never removed. After adjusting the length, try it by hand a few times without running the motor and confirm at which positions the lever stops.
