What does 0,025 degree levelling precision mean in practice?

0,025 degrees corresponds to a height difference of about 2,6 mm between the end points on a 6 metre long caravan. This is a deviation that cannot be told apart by eye or with a classic spirit level. The KTS200 reaches this figure in the precision correction step, the final stage of automatic levelling.

A simple calculation is enough to make the angle concrete: a tilt of 0,025 degrees means a height difference of about 0,44 mm per metre. Accordingly:

This order of magnitude is below the reading limit of a bubble spirit level. That is, the system reaches a position far beyond the point your eye can distinguish.

On the KTS200 this figure is obtained not in one step but gradually. First the jacks come down one by one and find ground contact, then the front-rear tilt and then the left-right tilt are corrected; finally, in the precision levelling stage, micro corrections bring it down to 0,025 degrees. Since the ASX103 levelling brain has an integrated two-axis tilt sensor, this measurement is made within the system itself and no external sensor is needed. With the Tare function you can have any reference position you want accepted as zero.
