What should be done if the web app cannot find the KTS200 device?
The most common reasons for the device not appearing in the list are: no power reaching the GRV485 control unit, the phone's Bluetooth being off, the phone still being connected to another device, the device broadcast name having been changed by the user, and too much distance. Work through the checks in order, starting from power.
Step-by-step checks:
- Power: Is supply reaching the GRV485? Check the line fuse, the battery terminals and the connectors. A device with no power does not broadcast.
- Phone Bluetooth: Is it on? Is airplane mode off? Has the browser been given Bluetooth access permission?
- Another connection: The phone may still be connected to another Bluetooth device, or another family member's phone may still be connected to the KTS200. Drop the other connections and try again.
- Broadcast name: The device name can be changed by the user. If you are looking for the factory name you will not find it in the list; look for the name you gave it.
- Distance: Bluetooth is a short-range link. Move closer to the device; the signal weakens when metal panels and bodywork come in between.
- Old record: If there is an old pairing record on the phone, delete it and connect again.
- Browser: Refresh the page, and if necessary close the browser completely and reopen it.
Since the app is not a program downloaded from a store, version mismatch is not a typical cause. If these steps do not help, contact technical support, since the device firmware can be updated remotely and automatically (OTA) and remote parameter intervention is possible.
