How does the single-button toggle between idle and work speed work?

When the IP67 metal button on the GS740 is pressed briefly, the servo moves the throttle lever instantly between the idle position and the stored work speed position. Storing is done by holding the same button for 3 seconds. This function is not present on the GS740-3P; the 3P model has no button and no idle/work toggle.

The function is designed as a fast toggle between two fixed throttle positions.

Where it helps: at the head of a queue, when changing lines, when getting on and off to check the trailer/equipment — dropping the engine to idle and returning to the same speed with a single touch once work starts. Instead of trying to bring the potentiometer to the same spot every time, the stored position is used; that makes the speed repeatable and reduces unnecessary running at high speed.

Limits:

During long breaks, prefer stopping the engine to leaving it idling; long idling on a diesel engine increases the risk of wet stacking.
