How do I control a single jack manually on the KTS200?
The KTS200's Manual mode has three levels of control: moving a single jack independently, running them as a pair (right, left, front or rear) and moving all four jacks together. Control is done from the free web application connected over Bluetooth; the spirit level symbol and the numerical degree value are shown live on the screen.
Manual control exists for special cases where automatic levelling is not suitable. Typical uses:
- Retracting one jack slightly on its own in order to put a plate under it.
- Noticing during ground contact that one jack has landed in a hollow and adjusting only that one.
- Observing the stroke movement of the jacks one by one for service and inspection.
- Correcting only one side (left-right) or only the front/rear as a pair without disturbing the position.
Points to watch when using manual mode:
- Follow the movement with your eyes; automatic staging is not active in manual mode.
- Do not upset the balance by overloading a single jack. Load capacity per jack is 2000 kg, but an even distribution of the load over the four jacks is essential.
- In manual mode too, Emergency Stop cuts the movement immediately; the GRV485's current protection and timeout control keep working.
- Do not lift all wheels off the ground. Jacks are no substitute for a parking brake, and the chocks must stay in place.
If you want a lasting result after manual correction, finish with Automatic or Precision mode; that way the system comes down to the 0,025° target with its own algorithm.
