What is the main difference between the ELF-812 and the LFT54?
The LFT54 is a switch-controlled kit that pulls the cable-controlled Lift-O-Matic mechanism with a 12V DC motor, offering 15 kg of force and 50 mm of travel. The ELF-812 is an e-lift set that drives the hydraulic lever with a linear rack motor; it includes a joystick, fender switches and a remote control, and has position and sensitivity modes. Both products are covered by a 36-month warranty; the difference is not in the warranty but in the control architecture.
The control philosophy sets out the difference most clearly:
- The LFT54 is a trigger. It pulls the existing quick-lift cable electrically and raises or releases the links. There is no mode, memory or position selection; it works on a forward-reverse drive logic.
- The ELF-812 is a control system. The linear rack motor sits on top of the hydraulic control lever and the electronic module drives the lever to the desired point. In position mode the selected height is maintained repeatably; sensitivity mode changes the response character of the lever. When the system is first powered up, automatic calibration runs.
- Control points: on the LFT54 there is a single electronic switch. The ELF-812 set comes with a joystick, fender switches and a remote control together; the fender switch lets you align the links from outside the tractor while attaching an implement.
If you only want to raise and lower the links quickly at the headland, the LFT54 is enough. If you want to hold the implement at a specific height and to manage it from the cab or from outside the vehicle, the ELF-812 is suitable. Both products are covered by a 36-month warranty; the difference between the ELF-812 and the LFT54 is not in the warranty but in the control architecture.
