Does the control characteristic degrade when the battery weakens or voltage drops?

The HCT400 delivers full performance between 10-18V; below this band the force the motor applies to the lever and its response speed drop. The HCT402's voltage stability has been tested at 7V, 12V, 27V, and 31V and it connects directly to 12V and 24V systems; this wide tolerance makes behavior more stable during cranking and with a weak battery.

The force the servo motor applies to the lever depends on electrical power. As supply voltage drops, the torque produced for the same command decreases; the lever moves more slowly and on stiff levers may not reach the full end position.

Symptoms seen in practice:

Two different batteries must not be confused: the subject here is the vehicle battery. The wireless joystick's own internal battery is separate, and the HCT402 does not allow motion control at all at a critical battery level, warning with LED and buzzer. On the HCT400, a visual warning is given when the battery falls below 5%. In other words, no gray zone such as "the lever works at half power when the battery runs down" is left; control either works properly or is safely refused.
