How is the LFT54 installed, what are the steps?

Installing the LFT54 consists of four connections: two supply wires (+/-), one control signal wire and the cable entry socket. The end of the existing Lift-O-Matik cable that sits outside the tractor is detached and connected to the kit's cable entry, while the original connection on the tractor side is never disturbed. The enclosure needs 155 x 175 x 70 mm of space and weighs about 650 g; the wiring is done with the battery negative terminal disconnected.

The recommended order is as follows:

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal. All wiring is done in this state.
  2. Choose the mounting location. The cable entry socket must be in line with the cable and facing downwards; the surface must be flat and away from exhaust heat and wheel impact. Bolt the enclosure down so it withstands vibration.
  3. Connect the cable. Detach the end of the cable outside the tractor and fit it into the kit's cable entry socket. Leave no slack in the cable, but do not apply pre-tension either; the kit pulls 50 mm, so verify by hand that the mechanism is triggered within that distance.
  4. Run the signal wire. Mount the electronic switch where your hand reaches it in the seated position and clamp the wire.
  5. Run the supply. On the positive line, place the fuse as close as possible to the battery terminal; connect the negative to a clean bare metal chassis point.
  6. Reconnect the battery and test. Raise and lower first without load, then with the engine running.

The guide and the wiring diagram are supplied digitally with the set.
