Is 10 kg and 15 kg of cable pull force enough?
The LFT20 produces at most 10 kg and the LFT54 at most 15 kg of cable pull force. These values are not for lifting the implement but for moving the Lift-O-Matic lever; the lifting work is done by the tractor's own hydraulics. If the mechanism is well maintained and free, 10 kg is enough for most applications; on stiff and heavy mechanisms the LFT54 should be preferred.
The right question is not "how many kilos of implement will it lift" but "how many kilos of force does it take to move my lever". The lifting comes entirely from the tractor's hydraulics.
Factors that increase the lever's movement resistance:
- Rust, dryness and mud build-up at the joints and shaft points.
- Spring tension and mechanism design; on large class tractors the lever is generally stiffer.
- Sharp turns and guide friction along the cable route.
- Oil thickening in cold weather.
Selection logic:
- LFT20 (10 kg, 60 mm): Sufficient on tractors whose mechanism moves freely. The unit contains no board, processor or sensor, and it is sold outside warranty coverage.
- LFT54 (15 kg, 50 mm): Offers a more powerful dynamic DC motor, an embedded control board with current and position sensor protection, and a 36-month warranty. It should be preferred on stiff mechanisms and in heavy use.
Before mounting, pull the lever by hand and confirm that the resistance is reasonable; if the mechanism is stiff, lubricate and free it first.
