How is the LFT20's illuminated switch used?
The LFT20 set contains a single illuminated switch with a connector, and it drives the motor forwards and backwards: one direction pulls the cable and moves the Lift-O-Matik lever, the other returns the motor to its starting position. The light on the switch shows that supply is present. There is no board, processor or sensor in the kit, so no automatic stop should be expected.
The operating logic of the LFT20 is deliberately plain: a switch that reverses polarity drives the DC motor in two directions. The motor pulls the cable over a distance of 60 mm and moves the mechanism.
Points to watch in use:
- Do not hold the switch pressed continuously. The unit has no board, processor or sensor; there is no position sensing or automatic stop. Release the command once the movement is complete.
- Place the switch where the driver can reach it easily and can see it, not at a point that is out of sight while watching the implement.
- The light is a supply indicator; it is not proof that the motor is actually turning. If the light is on but there is no movement, check the mechanical resistance and the cable connection.
Set contents: 1 main unit, 2 supply wires (+/−), 1 illuminated switch with connector, plus a digital installation guide and wiring diagram. Before mounting, a bench test is mandatory: touch the red wire to the battery positive and the black wire to the battery negative terminal and visually verify the motor's movement in both directions and the switch.
