How is ROBEG operated, what are the steps of use?

ROBEG is used in four steps: the robot is placed at the head of the panel array and the battery charge is checked, manual or automatic mode is selected on the remote control, the cleaning cycle is run, and after the cycle the brush and battery are checked periodically. The cleaning cycle proceeds autonomously, but placing the robot on the array and taking it off is up to the operator.

The usage flow is defined in the product manual in this order:

  1. Positioning: the robot is placed at the head of the panel array to be cleaned; at the same stage the battery charge state is checked.
  2. Mode selection: manual or automatic operating mode is selected on the remote control. Manual mode is useful for spot dirt and during first commissioning, automatic mode for straight array passes.
  3. Cleaning cycle: cleaning is carried out along the array with the 800 mm industrial brush and the optimized water distributor structure.
  4. After the cycle: the brush condition and the battery are checked periodically.

An important accuracy note: ROBEG runs the cleaning cycle autonomously, but it is not a fully unmanned system. Placing the robot on the array, taking it off at the end of a row and carrying it to the next row is an operator task. Site planning should be done taking this labour into account.
