How is the CM1405 installed and what comes out of the box?

Installation has four steps: the manual mirror body is removed and the CM1405 is fitted into the same housing, the folding and heating lines are connected to the vehicle's 12V supply and trigger points, folding is tested via the ignition and door lock and heating via the heating button, and the system is put into use. The kit contains the folding mechanism, the heating module, the cable set, the mounting hardware, the wiring diagram and the user manual.

Installation flow:

  1. Remove the manual mirror body and fit the CM1405 body into the same housing.
  2. Connect the folding and heating lines to the vehicle's supply (12V DC) and trigger points. The wiring diagram is taken as the basis at this step.
  3. Test folding with the ignition and door lock, and mirror heating with the heating button.
  4. Secure the cables, refit the trim panels and put the system into use.

Kit contents: folding mechanism, mirror heating module, vehicle-compatible cable set, mounting hardware, wiring diagram and user manual.

In practice the step that takes the most time is finding the trigger point; access to the lock and ignition signal varies with the vehicle architecture. For this reason we recommend that the installation be done by a service experienced in vehicle electrics. Use a plastic trim removal tool to avoid breaking clips while removing trim panels.
