Which terminals do the GS740-3P wire colours connect to?
In the GS740-3P harness, red is the motor supply (+12V/24V), black is the supply negative/chassis (GND), green is the potentiometer GND, that is the outer terminal, yellow is the potentiometer signal, that is the centre terminal (wiper), and blue is the memory/calibration trigger wire. The blue wire is touched briefly to the black one. If shielded cable is used, the shield is connected to the green wire.
The harness per channel is 2 metres long and has an IP67 connector. The colour codes are the same on all three channels.
- Red: motor supply (+), 12V or 24V. Run it fused and with a suitable cross-section.
- Black: supply (−) / chassis (GND).
- Green: potentiometer GND, the outer terminal of the potentiometer. The shield end of a shielded cable is also connected here.
- Yellow: potentiometer signal, the centre terminal of the potentiometer (wiper). The input works proportionally over 0–3.3V.
- Blue: memory/calibration trigger. It is touched briefly to GND to teach the upper limit.
Points to watch when connecting: do not reverse the supply terminals. Do not leave the blue wire permanently connected to GND; this wire is used only for calibration and memory erasing. Do not carry the potentiometer cable in the same bundle as high-current supply and ignition cables, or noise will be coupled into the signal.
There is no communication between channels; each channel works fully independently with its own harness, so apply the colour codes separately per channel and label the wire ends.
