Does the vehicle return to its former manual state when the kit is removed?
Yes. Because the HCT400 and HCT402 never enter the hydraulic circuit, removal is fully reversible: no line is cut, no valve is opened, no oil is drained. When the motor's mounting clamps and supply cable are removed, the lever is freed and the vehicle returns exactly to its factory manual operation.
The reason for reversibility is the architecture. The kit moves the lever externally and from above; no element of the hydraulic system is changed or removed. For this reason, removal leaves no trace from a hydraulic standpoint.
What is undone during removal:
- The connection between the motor's output arm and the manual lever.
- The clamps and brackets fixing the motor next to the chassis/valve bank.
- The supply cable running to the battery, and the fuse.
The only physical trace that may remain is a hole drilled for the bracket or a clamp mark; this can be taken into account when choosing the mounting point.
This feature provides two practical benefits. First, on rented or second-hand machines the kit can be removed and moved to another vehicle. Second, because no permanent change is made to the hydraulic system, the warranty and maintenance flow for the vehicle's hydraulic side is not disrupted.
Since the wireless joystick and motor pairing stays with the kit, after mounting on the new vehicle it is enough to simply repeat the calibration steps.
