What are the differences between the LFT20 and the LFT54?
The LFT20 is a basic solution with 10 kg pulling force, 60 mm pull travel, 12V DC supply, 10A average current, an IP66 galvanised metal body and 400 g weight, but it is sold outside warranty coverage. The LFT54 offers 15 kg force, 50 mm travel, 12V DC, an embedded watertight control board, protection with current and position sensors and 36 months of warranty; it weighs about 650 g.
Both kits pull the existing Lift-O-Matik cable, on both the cable does not leave the enclosure, and both are supplied with 12V DC. The distinction is on the durability and protection side:
- Electronics: The LFT20 has no board, processor or sensor; the switch drives the motor directly. The LFT54 has a watertight control board embedded inside the motor along with current and position sensors, so the motor is protected in case of jamming or overload.
- Mechanical capacity: The LFT54's more powerful dynamic DC motor leaves margin on stiff or heavy-working mechanisms.
- Enclosure: The LFT20 is 170 x 130 x 55 mm, the LFT54 155 x 175 x 70 mm; allow space according to these dimensions when choosing the mounting location.
- Commercial terms: The LFT20 is sold outside warranty coverage, the LFT54 carries a 36-month warranty.
If your Lift-O-Matik lever runs smoothly and is light, and you accept the risk, the LFT20 is sufficient. If you expect heavy daily use, a stiff cable or long service life, the LFT54 is the right choice.
