What is the difference between ST100 and SF100, and which should I choose?
The receiver of ST100 and SF100 is the same: LF100R, panel-mount, 2x10A relay output, 12/24V DC or 220V AC supply. The difference is in the remote control and in the range. ST100 has the LT200 Li-Po rechargeable IP67 remote control and approximately 150 m open-field range, while SF100 has the LF200 3xAAA battery-powered IP64 remote control and approximately 100 m range.
The choice between the two sets is actually made on the remote control side; the receiver is the same LF100R on both.
- ST100: LT200 remote control, Li-Po rechargeable, IP67 protection, AXI-Link 3-pin industrial charging connector. Approximately 150 m in open field.
- SF100: LF200 remote control, 3xAAA batteries, IP64 protection. Approximately 100 m in open field.
- Common: LF100R panel-mount receiver, 2 channel forward/reverse, 2x10A relay output, 12/24V DC or 220V AC supply, ability to work in parallel with existing manual pushbuttons.
Practical decision rule: if the remote control stays out on site all day in a dusty or wet environment and the distances exceed 100 m, ST100 is more suitable. If the remote control is used at the panel or in an enclosed workshop, and setting up charging discipline at the end of the shift is difficult, SF100's battery-powered design is advantageous in terms of field spares; a flat battery is replaced instantly with a battery from the shop.
The range values are for open field. Concrete walls, steel structures, antenna placement and inverter interference reduce this distance noticeably; when making your choice, leave an allowance above the real distance.
