Can an existing AXI product be customized for my project?
In most cases yes, and this is a faster and lower-risk path than designing from scratch. Customization is assessed under headings such as channel count and button function mapping, current and voltage class, cable and connector layout, enclosure and mounting interface, and labelling. Scope and feasibility are determined project by project.
Variant production means adding need-specific changes on top of a validated platform. Its advantage over designing from scratch is that the main circuit has already been proven in the field.
Frequently requested customization headings:
- Function map: on remote controls, the channel count, button layout and the output each button drives.
- Electrical class: a different supply voltage or current level (for example a 24V system instead of 12V).
- Mechanical interface: enclosure dimensions, mounting holes, cable exit direction, connector type.
- Cable set: machine-specific lengths and end preparation.
- Identity: label, serial number scheme and manual customization.
Which change is a simple configuration and which one is a hardware revision depends on the request; we determine that together during the requirements analysis.
Because quantity, lead time and cost only become clear together with the scope, we do not share figures in advance. Tell us which existing product you want to change and in which direction.
