Warranty Certificate
For goods covered by the Warranty Certificate Regulation, the document issued by the manufacturer or importer that the seller is obliged to give to the consumer. It shows the warranty period, scope and service details of the goods; it must be kept together with the invoice.
The certificate is the basis of a claim under warranty. Its content includes the type and model of the product, the warranty period, the manufacturer or importer details and the service application details. Issuing the document is the manufacturer's or importer's obligation, while delivering it to the consumer is the seller's.
- Keep the certificate together with the invoice and the order record.
- Compare the serial number on the device label with the information on the certificate.
- For some products the certificate can also be downloaded from the documents tab of the product page.
Not having the certificate to hand does not automatically remove the right; the purchase can also be proven with the invoice. However, during the service process the certificate makes the start of the period and the scope indisputable. For the product-specific period and scope, the technical table on the product page and the warranty certificate supplied with the product prevail; the periods are not the same across different product families.
