Tax Identification Number
The ten-digit number given to legal entities by the tax office. It is requested together with the company title and tax office details so that the corporate invoice can be issued correctly. For natural-person taxpayers, this number is replaced by the eleven-digit Republic of Türkiye identity number.
The number is the key that determines in the name of which legal entity the invoice will be issued. If it is entered incorrectly, the document ends up issued to another taxpayer, and correcting it is not always a simple operation; that is why it must be checked at the order step.
- Enter the number together with the trade title and the tax office name.
- If you are purchasing on behalf of a branch, clarify which legal entity will be invoiced.
- The delivery address may be different; invoice details and the shipping address are separate fields.
Also bear in mind that a purchase invoiced with a tax number is of a commercial nature: in that case the right of withdrawal and the arbitration committee route under consumer legislation do not apply, and disputes are subject to the general provisions.
