A Single Channel Not Working (Single Channel Failure)
This is one channel alone failing to issue a command while the other channels work without problems. This symptom largely clears the radio link: if the signal is being received, the problem is at a point specific to that channel, that is, in the button, in the relevant relay, in the terminal or in the contactor coil circuit.
Diagnosis is done by halving the chain to narrow down which link the fault is in.
- Relay sound: when you give the command, can you hear the relevant relay pull in? If it pulls in, the problem is downstream of the relay output.
- Output measurement: is there continuity between the contact terminals while the relay is pulled in? If not, the contact is worn or contaminated.
- Load side: does voltage reach the contactor coil? If it does but the contactor does not pull in, the coil or the interlocking circuit is faulty.
- Limit: the limit switch for that direction may have been triggered; if the NC contact has stayed permanently open, the motion never starts.
- Remote control side: if the relay never pulls in, check the button, the channel assignment and, if necessary, the teaching procedure.
If none of the channels work at all, the diagnosis is different: there you look at the supply, the pairing and the power side.
