Receiver Supply Voltage
This is the voltage that must be applied to the terminals of the receiver module for it to work. In AXI sets this value varies by variant: the SF100 and ST100 receivers can be supplied with 12/24V DC or 220V AC, while for the SF200 only 12/24V DC is stated. For the ST200 variants the supply range has not been published.
The choice of supply voltage determines where the receiver takes its power from and directly affects ease of installation. There are two approaches:
- 12/24V DC: connects directly on vehicle-mounted cranes and in panels that already have a DC control voltage. The control circuit stays naturally separate from the power circuit.
- 220V AC: requires no additional power supply in fixed installations. In that case take care to separate the control voltage from the power circuit and to observe insulation clearances inside the panel.
Three rules in practice:
- Provide a separate fuse on the supply terminals; this limits the effect of other faults in the panel on the receiver.
- In panels supplied with 220V AC, consider varistor-type protection against voltage surges.
- On long DC supply runs, choose the cable cross-section using a voltage drop calculation.
Do not carry over values from other models for figures not given for the ST200 and SF200; confirm the supply range from the technical specifications on the product page and from the user manual. Energising with the wrong voltage leaves permanent damage in the receiver and is considered outside the scope of the warranty.
