Learning Procedure (Learning Mode)
The learning procedure is the sequence of steps in which the receiver is put temporarily into a mode that accepts a new identity and then registers the transmitter. The mode is usually limited to a few seconds, and within that period the first valid transmitter on air is registered. This is why the operation should be carried out in an environment where no other remote controls are transmitting.
The duration of learning mode is deliberately kept short, because for as long as it is open the receiver accepts identities without discrimination. The risks and precautions are as follows:
- Registering the wrong transmitter: if a button is pressed while another set on the same site is pairing, an unwanted identity can get in. Precaution: carry out the operation with only one set switched on.
- Multiple registration overflow: the receiver stores a limited number of identities; when it is full the oldest may be deleted or the new registration rejected.
- Half-completed operation: if the mode closes without a confirmation being received, no pairing is created.
The correct order of application: make the machine's hydraulic or power circuit safe, put the receiver into learning mode, introduce the transmitter from a short distance, wait for the confirmation, and then verify each channel one by one with no load.
