IP64 (Dust-Tight, Resistant to Splashing Water)

A protection code according to IEC 60529 whose first digit is 6 and second digit 4: the ingress of dust into the housing is completely prevented and protection is provided against splashing water from any direction. Water jets and immersion are not within the scope of this code. The LF200 remote of the SF100 and SF200 sets is declared IP64.

The two digits of the code represent separate tests. The first digit 6 is the highest level against solid objects: dust cannot enter the housing, it is not merely limited. The second digit 4 shows that the housing withstands splashing water from any direction; rain, dripping from above and hand-sprinkled water are within this scope.

The rechargeable LT200 remote is declared IP67; its difference from IP64 is in the second digit, that is, in the level of water resistance. On the dust side both are at the same level.
