Dynamic Mode
A sharp operating characteristic in which the command is applied as directly as possible, without ramping. The delay between joystick movement and hydraulic response is minimised, saving time in work with fast transitions. This is the behaviour that applies on the AXI HCT402 when the mode selection wire is left free.
The logic of dynamic mode is the exact opposite of soft mode: instead of filtering the command, the control board takes the motor to the target in the shortest possible time. In work such as raising and lowering the implement in a headland manoeuvre or dumping a load quickly, the seconds gained on each cycle add up by the end of the day.
- Advantage: the perceived delay between command and movement drops, and the operator feels more "connected" to the system.
- Caution: sudden starts and stops can create oscillation in the load on the linkage; when working with heavy, tall implements, be more measured when using the end regions of the lever.
- Combination: the HCT402's joystick characteristic is already sensitive in the middle region; even in dynamic mode, movements close to the centre stay controlled.
Which mode is chosen depends on the implement and the job. For work dominated by precise placement, alignment and slow lowering, soft mode; for repeated raise-lower cycles, dynamic mode is in practice more suitable. On the HCT402 the decision is made by a wire connection, so there is no need to browse menus in the field.
