DIN Rail Mounting
Fixing the in-panel receiver with a clip onto the standard 35 mm wide carrier rail. The device clips on and off without screws, does not shift under vibration and stays in line with the terminal row. Where the receiver sits on the rail is as decisive as the wiring in terms of heat and interference.
The standard carrier rail is 35 mm wide and is run vertically or horizontally on the panel base. The sprung clip on the back of the device seats onto the rail; to remove it, the clip is pulled down with a screwdriver. Its advantage over screw mounting is that in the event of a fault the receiver can be swapped with the spare next to it without disconnecting the cables.
- Heat: hot air collects at the top inside the panel. Place the receiver not above the drive, transformer and braking resistor but below or beside them.
- Interference: move the receiver as far as possible from the inverter and from the motor cable route; this is cheaper and more effective than buying an extra filter.
- Vibration: on panels attached to the crane chassis use end stops on the rail, and retighten the terminal screws before commissioning and again at the end of the first month.
AXI's in-panel receiver (the LF100R in the ST100 and SF100 sets) is designed to be positioned inside a dry panel; the protection rating is determined not by the device itself but by the panel it is mounted in. The antenna, however, must stay outside the panel.
