Cable Pull Distance (Stroke)
This is the linear distance the electronic retrofit kit pulls the cable in one command. On the AXI LFT20 it is 60 mm, on the AXI LFT54 50 mm. This stroke provides enough movement for the quadrant lever to reach the transport position; it does not push the lever to the end of the quadrant, that is, into the continuous pumping zone.
The stroke value is not an arbitrary number, it corresponds to the usable travel range of the mechanism. If the cable is pulled less than required, the mechanism is not triggered; if it is pulled more than required, the lever enters the sector that holds the relief valve permanently open and the hydraulic oil heats up.
- During installation, adjust the cable slack so that the lever is in neutral while the kit is idle.
- When the command is given, visually confirm that the lever reaches the transport position.
- If the stroke is not enough, first check the cable friction and the attachment point.
The 10 mm difference between the two models is not on its own an indicator of superiority; it is judged together with the geometry of the mechanism. The LFT20 offers a longer stroke and 10 kg of force, while the LFT54 offers a shorter stroke and 15 kg of force with current and position sensor protection.
