Pre-Order (Backorder / Pre-Order)

An order placed in advance for a product that is not yet in stock or is to be put into the production queue. The delivery time works differently from a stocked product; it should not be forgotten that in distance sales the performance period cannot exceed the maximum limit in the legislation and that the consumer must be informed in case of delay.

A pre-order is the way to queue demand for products tied to a production plan. In industrial control products this usually comes up in work requiring a board production batch, a custom cable length or a customer-specific parameter load.

The point to watch in terms of the right of withdrawal is this: goods prepared in line with the consumer's requests or personal needs, that is, personalised goods, are among the withdrawal exceptions in the Regulation. A standard product merely waiting for stock does not fall under this exception; but a kit prepared specifically for you does. Clarify this distinction when placing a pre-order. For binding information on the delivery time, the terms on your order page and in the sales contract apply.
