ST42 DC Motor Driver

Drives two motors independently: 4A per channel, 8A in total. Speed and ramp are adjustable, and each motor has its own current-limit pot (the same limit applies in both directions). It works from a remote, a button or a PLC/Arduino trigger.

ST42 is a compact, reliable, industrial-grade motor driver module developed for 12–24V DC motor systems. Thanks to its simple yet stable internal architecture, it delivers an economical and steady solution for automation applications that require forward/reverse direction control, start–stop and triggering.

Compatible with RF receivers, manual buttons and in-panel control signals, the ST42 operates for many years with low maintenance in direction-control–oriented applications that don't require complex speed profiles. Its panel-friendly dimensions make it easy to integrate into existing enclosures.

The entry point of the series, with professional quality. For direction-control projects that don't need speed adjustment, start with the reliable and economical ST42 before stepping up to KS250 or PT500.

Key Features

Simple and stable
No unnecessary complexity. The streamlined circuit architecture focused on direction control delivers consistent, predictable behavior.
Multiple control inputs
Works with RF receivers, external buttons and in-panel signal triggers. Flexibility to choose the input source per project.
Panel-friendly design
The compact body allows seamless mounting in existing panels; easy to fix to a DIN rail or a plate.
12V & 24V compatible
A single module operates on both 12V and 24V DC systems — reduces stock and parts variety.
Fast integration
An open terminal layout and predictable I/O map keep design and test time short.
Economical solution
Skip unnecessary module costs in direction-control projects; industrial quality on a low budget.

How Does It Work?

1
Connect the supply
Feed the 12V or 24V DC supply to the module through an appropriate fuse.
2
Choose the control
Connect one of an RF receiver, manual button or PLC signal as the control input.
3
Connect the motor
Wire the DC motor leads to the output terminals and verify the direction sequence.
4
Test & hand over
Test the forward–reverse motion, fix the unit to the panel and put the system into service.
